A Grade II Listed period property situated on the first floor of an iconic historical brewery from 1808 in London. This property underwent a complete renovation, curated by Studio Lalola, offering a turnkey service. The space presents a blend of sophistication and contemporary flair, drawing inspiration from the historical elements of the building, an unfolding story.
Preserving the charm of original panelling, we’ve added sympathetic touches throughout, creating a visual journey through history. High ceilings, adorned with original cornice details, embrace natural light by day and transform into a captivating spectacle with enchanting decorative lighting by night.
The space was embellished with bespoke soft furnishings and warm finishes, creating an inviting and pared-back interior. With its modest proportions, maximizing storage was one of the key requirements in the client’s brief. Ample storage was incorporated throughout all the rooms.
Warm materials were introduced along with bright tones and textured natural elements. The sociable free flow of the living and the kitchen creates a cozy and welcoming space, a blend of relaxation and comfort that transcends time. The dining table top was curated, and carved edgings were added to create a natural flow within the space.
The small room is designed to be used as an office in the daily bases but also can be used as guest bedroom. It has a hidden wall king size bed behind a customized furniture piece, seamlessly doubling as panelling and a shelf.
The master bedroom unveil contemporary panelling, a bespoke touch that sets it apart from the original features from 1800. Curated antiques and travel memoirs from the client add a layer of richness to the interiors.
