The property was originally built in the ’60s and required a full renovation. The client was looking for a turnkey service.
Studio Lalola was in charge of the design, project management, procurement, installation, and styling. A strong identity was created through a sophisticated and contemporary palette, drawing inspiration from the nearby flower market on Columbia Road. The warm atmosphere was inspired by the earthy colours and textures of the surroundings.
Soft-washed walls envelop the space, and the soft furnishings are a mix of vintage and contemporary accents.
The kitchen was relocated and opened up to the dining and living room, making the neutral and contemporary space more user-friendly to meet the client’s requirements.
An office on the entrance level was also created, along with a full bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. The staircase with a bespoke pendant leads you to the upper level where the bedrooms are located.
The property is bathed in lots of natural light, and the bedrooms on the upper floor are a haven of calmness; they are cozy and simple. In the evening, decorative lighting comes into play, creating a softer and calmer interior.
The bathroom, with a contemporary twist, is functional and spacious. The green textured tiles provide another layer of freshness, complementing the surrounding greenery of the building.
